The word health refers to the state of physical and emotional and social well-being. Good health is the key to handle stress, live longer and more active life. In 1948 WHO describes health as;
“Health is state of complete physical, mental and social wel being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.”
In 1986, the WHO made further clarifications:
“A resource for everyday life, not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities.”
Mainly the health is categorized into two types
1. Physical health: physical health refers to ones physica well being. A good physical well being leads to full potential towards work. This is not only due to absence of diseases but it also requires daily exercise, good nutrition and rest.Maintaining physical heath enhance heart function, muscle strength, flexibility and helps maintaining body posture.
Maintaining good physical health reduces risk of:
* Heart attack
* Imbalance body posture
* Using tobacoo, alcohol or other drugs.
* Low fertility rates.
* Illness cough cold etc
thus we say that a good physical health leads to a good soul.
2. Mental health:
Mental health refers to person emotional social and psychologica wll being. Mental health dignosis depends upon ones activity that he or she is doing in day to day life, so it is qite harder to analyse as compared to physical health. Some of the method used are CT scan and genetic tests. Mentally unhealthy person suffers with anxiety, depression or other disorders. Mental health also includes spiritual calmness and live longer as compared to unhealthy person.
A good mental health provides:
* Enjoyable life
* Free from anxiety, stress or any disorder
* Spiritual calmness
* Feel safe and secure
* Achieve full potential
Mental heath can be cured by consolting a experienced psychatrist and by following the advice of slow or stop them.
Physical and Mental health is inter related to each other in many ways.
One can attain good health through good physical and mental actions. It is not possible to avoid physical or mental health. both are core parts of good health. All types of health are linked, and people should aim for overall well-being and balance as the keys to good health. So a person should do their best to attain physical and mental health.
